People seek therapy when they desperately want something in their lives to change. Maybe a relationship, or their anxiety, or their stress. Whatever the problem is, they feel overwhelmed by it. They want to move beyond this problem and into the better life that they hope is possible for them.

I’m here to tell you that better life IS possible for you. I get to be part of that change process with my clients, and its why I’m so passionate about what I do.

It is possible to move beyond what is in your life and toward the better life that is calling you forward.

But, how? How do you do that when you’re overwhelmed and struggling against this problem? The first step is seeing beyond what is.

When you’re struggling, you are overwhelmed with sensory input. The panic attack that you’re on the verge of having; the bitter fight you just had with your spouse; the feelings of defeat that plague you from the moment you wake up. Sometimes people are so overwhelmed, they don’t even know what they want anymore. They only know they want out of the struggle.

As intense as your current reality is, you do have the capability to think beyond your current circumstances. You can see beyond what is and look toward what you want to create. Once you begin to get a picture of the life you want to create, you begin moving in that direction.

At first, it can be difficult to see beyond what is, simply because most people have never practiced this before. But once you learn the skill of doing it, it becomes easier and easier. As you paint the picture of what you want your life to look like, you automatically begin to move in that direction.
